Hypnosis

Hypnosis is very effective, fast with no side effects and you are in complete control during the session. It has been recognised since the 18th century for its form of healing.

To take out the mystery around Hypnosis, I have some answers to your questions  listed below.

Questions & Answers...

How does hypnosis work?

Whilst in hypnosis we can talk to your subconscious mind.  Your subconscious mind holds all of your emotions, the way we react, learn and act and holds 90% of our emotional state.

Our conscious mind holds our logical part and is only 10%. Therefore Emotion will always win over Logic.

This becomes evident when we know when we are doing something that we shouldn’t do, but we still do it!

What does it feel like?

Hypnosis is like being in a trance, or a really relaxed state of calm focus. Our brain moves in and out of alert focus several times a day.

For example when we are driving home, watching a movie, campfire feeling incredibly relaxed, these are all examples of a hypnotic state.

Do I know what is happening?

Yes, you are aware at all times and you will remember everything you choose to remember. You are in complete control.

We can have a conversation and you will know exactly what is being said.

Am I asleep?

No, you are not asleep, it is the sleep of the nervous system.

You are not actually going to sleep.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, absolutely!

There are no side effects or lingering instructions eg: you hear the number 10 and you jump like a monkey.

Can I be hypnotised?

Yes, everyone can be hypnotised.

However, people with psychosis or a personality disorder are not recommended to use hypnosis.

Some people will go deeper into a depth of trance, but that is not an indicator of success for change. A light trance is just as successful.

People experience different feelings of hypnotic relaxation, as some people feel heavy whilst others may experience a feeling of lightness or a floating feeling.

How fast does it work?

Some people feel an instant change, whilst others experience a gradual change.

Some people don’t see or feel any change, but the people around them see a different person.

It all depends on the issue we are dealing with, but unless we fight our own change, results will become evident. The number of session(s) you need will also depend on the issue(s) we are treating and that can have an impact on how fast we see results.

WOW!!! Anja knows her work, great communication and listening skills. From the moment I sat in the chair and was guided to close my eyes and listened to Anja's words, I fell into a deep trance. I felt so safe, warm and relaxed that when it was time to open my eyes -

I actually didn't want to come out of that nurturing space.

I highly recommend Anja's work. Jayne K
